Rates and Other Info

All stays to be a minimum of two days please. There is a lot to see in Thanet and East Kent. Please book to stay at least 24hrs before you want to arrive.

Bed and Breakfast

  • Turner room - large double £110 per night for two people including breakfast
  • Tracey Emin Room - twin £100 per night for two people including breakfast
  • TS Eliot Room - single £85 per night for one person including breakfast

For breakfast, we serve an extensive continental breakfast with a freshly baked croissant, cereal, fruit, and toasted bread and jams (all home-made) and freshly ground coffee or a range of teas.

We are happy to offer a high quality cooked breakfast if required from a menu featuring locally sourced ingredient at a supplementary cost.

We require full payment at the time of booking. Guests can cancel within 24hrs of booking and receive a full refund. If a booking is then cancelled within that 30 days we will try to relet the room if reas onably possible and if it is will consider a refund, but to protect ourselves we reserve the right to retain the payment if the room remains unlet. Therefore we respectfully suggest guests consider having holiday insurance in place to cover their costs in the case of emergency late cancellations.

Rooms can be occupied from 4pm and should be vacated at 11am. We are normally here to welcome guests between 4-6pm and other times by arrangement.

We will happily consider arranging an extra bed in for a child if possible - but we do have a maximum allowed occupancy rate so we will need to discuss this in advance as it will depend on other booking.

All bedrooms are on the first floor. Our staircase is reasonable wide and hopefully not too difficult.

We have an alcohol license and a micro-bar. Although we do not provide evening meals, guests are welcome to ask to bring in takeaways and we can recommend a range of local restaurants. Guests can buy and consume alcohol sold by us on the premises.

We do not generally discount rooms or vary prices due to season as our other projects keep us busy during the winter.

We are sorry that we cannot accommodate pets in the b & b.

Please let us know in advance if you are planning to use the room while wearing artificial tanning products, such as for a body-building event, so that we can make the appropriate arrangements.

Concerts

Our ground floor cosy and quirky studio hosts regular high-quality acoustic concerts. It is seated and fully accessible. Tickets are by prior booking and we normally charge £12. A number of concession tickets are normally available at £6 and patrons who are able can pay £18 for a contribution ticket which not only covers their admission but also helps us provide concession tickets to improve access for other.

If you are attending a concert, why not book a room and make it a mini-break?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the concerts.

Workshops

The cost of workshops is arranged with the tutor and varies by the course. If you are attending a course and want to book a room too we may be able to make some adjustment.

Payment accepted in cash or by credit or debit card.

We are committed to treating all users of our services equably irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, race, faith, disability and other circumstances. If you have any concerns or special needs that you would like us to cater for or to be aware of, please do not hesitate to let us know. The studio area is fully accessible and has disabled toilet facilities; our guest rooms are on the first floor with standard en-suite bathrooms.

The Small Print

Please note that although we will do everything reasonable to fulfil bookings, in the even of an unforeseen emergency that prevents us doing so our maximum liability will be limited to a refund of any fees paid.

Similarly, although the premises are kept secure and fitted with an alarm and CCTV and we will be vigilant for guests' welfare, we do not accept responsibility for loss of property or injury occurring during to your stay with us, so please make sure you have adequate insurance for your equipment etc.

We ask our guests to behave appropriately and to treat our property, our neighbours and each other with courtesy and respect; anyone failing to do so may be asked to leave.
