Queer Folk, a Workshop by George Sansome

25th November 2023, 2.00pm

I cannot think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in November.

George Sansome created "Queer Folk" with Sophie Crawford, having secured funding to research into queer aspects of the folk tradition. What they discovered amazed and delighted them and this workshop is a presentation of those findings as well as a broader discussion about the stories in the songs and identifying queer songs. George is a compelling speaker and this workshop will amaze and amuse you. You will laugh, you may sing.

This workshop is for anyone who has an interest in different aspects of music and in getting to know about and understanding Queer culture.

"I attended this workshop in Sheffield...it's a very enriching experience and good fun".  Morag,  Rosslyn Court

This is a seated 2 hour workshop, Rosslyn Court is on one level and has accessible toilets. Refreshments will be available.
