Rates and Other Info
Please note that because of the extra cleaning required to make rooms Covid safe we now require all stays to be a minimum of two days and have introduced a discount system to encourage guests to stay for longer - there is a lot to see in Thanet and East Kent so you won't be bored!
Bed and Breakfast
Turner room - large double £110 per night for two people including breakfast
Tracey Emin Room - twin £100 per night for two people including breakfast
TS Eliot Room - single £85 per night for one person including breakfast
Room rates are reduced by 10% off the total cost for stays of three nights and 20% off the total cost for stays of four or more nights.
We require a non-refundable 10% deposit at the time of booking and we request payment of the full cost 30 days before the first day of the booking. If a booking is then cancelled within that 30 days we will try to relet the room if reasonably possible, but to protect ourselves we reserve the right to retain the payment if the room remains unlet. Therefore we respectfully suggest guests consider having holiday insurance in place to cover their costs in the case of emergency late cancellations.
Given the uncertainties that are around at the moment due to pandemic and the reluctance of insurers to cover this risk, we will make a full refund on bookings when cancellations are directly Covid related. When we are permitted to reopen, we are expecting to require guests on arrival to confirm they are not suffering from Covid symptoms and to observe appropriate precautions when staying with us. These requirements may change as national policies evolve.
Rooms can be occupied from 4pm and should be vacated at 11am.
We will happily consider arranging an extra bed in for a child if possible - but we do have a maximum allowed rate so we will need to discuss this in advance as it will depend on other booking.
All bedrooms are on the first floor. Our staircase is reasonable wide and hopefully not too difficult.
We have an alcohol license and a micro-bar. Although we do not provide evening meals, guests are welcome to ask to bring in takeaways and we can recommend a range of local restaurants. Guests can buy and consume alcohol sold by us on the premises subject to the terms of our license.
We do not generally discount rooms or vary prices due to season as our other projects keep us busy during the winter.
We are sorry that we cannot accommodate pets.
These are by prior booking and we normally charge £12 (or slightly more for well-known performers). This mainly benefits the artist, although we also try to cover our immediate expenses and make some contribution to the local community.
The cost of workshops is arranged with the tutor and varies by the course. If you are attending a course and want to book a room we may be able to make some adjustment.
Payment accepted in cash or by credit or debit card.
We are committed to treating all users of our services equably irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, race, faith, disability and other circumstances. If you have any concerns or special needs that you would like us to cater for or to be aware of, please do not hesitate to let us know. The studio area is fully accessible and has disabled toilet facilities; our guest rooms are on the first floor with standard en-suite bathrooms. Please also let us know in advance if you are planning to use the room while wearing artificial tanning products, such as for a body-building event, so that we can make the appropriate arrangements.
The Small Print
Please note that although we will do everything reasonable to fulfil bookings, in the even of an unforeseen emergency that prevents us doing so our maximum liability will be limited to a refund of any fees paid.
Similarly, although the premises are kept secure and fitted with an alarm and CCTV and we will be vigilant for guests' welfare, we do not accept responsibility for loss of property or injury occurring during to your stay with us, so please make sure you have adequate insurance for your equipment etc.
We ask our guests to behave appropriately and to treat our property, our neighbours and each other with courtesy and respect; anyone failing to do so may be asked to leave.
